Our Sheffield House Removals Process
Our house removals Sheffield service always begins with a home visit. Our home removal surveyor will arrive at your door and ask to see what you intend to move. Not sure what you’re bringing yet? That’s okay, you can tell us at a later date. This is when our team will discuss our insurance cover, furniture protective measures and terms and conditions with you. We’ll confirm your move date and open the floor to any questions you may have.
Dismantling & Removing Furniture
Dismantling your furniture before a move is both beneficial for you and us. Our furniture movers are happy to dismantle and reassemble your furniture for an additional charge- just ask! We only ask that if you have a loft to please remove any belongings from there before our team arrives, as we’re unable to remove goods there. Should you be unable to remove your loft furniture due to disability, please contact us.
Wondering what our team will pack your belongings in? All furniture will be covered with blankets and be securely strapped against the rails in our moving truck to prevent any scratches or damage. We’ll wrap your sofa in padded sacks and your mattresses in woven polyester covers. Your TV sets will be placed in padded boxes/bags and we’ll wrap your fragile items individually, placing them in boxes using void fill. Each box will be labelled with its contents and the area of the house we packed it from. We’ll also place all garments and clothes on hangers in wardrobe cartons to prevent crumbling. Although we don’t expect it, we’ll inform you of any damage at the end of your move and if qualified, discuss the claim procedure with you.
Yes! Our team is happy to do the packing and unpacking for you. We only ask that:
- Your documents are removed from the property
- All your valuables are packed and out of the way before we arrive
Yes! We can supply you with all the packing materials you’ll need, delivered free.. We’ll even remove all packing materials and recycle what can be re-purposed at the end of the move when asked.
We do ask that you pay a non-refundable deposit of 15% of our price once you accept our quote and terms of contract. We’ll collect your deposit over the phone. We ask that you pay your remaining balance in cash at the end of the move. If you wish to pay by cheque, please ensure that it reaches us a week prior so that it has time to clear before your move date. Should you want to pay your balance with a card reader and not cash, please inform us a few days in advance. There will be a fee for this method.
