Our surveyor will visit your home as scheduled, this will give you the opportunity to show them around pointing out what you intend to move. If there is any item you are not sure about at this point, not to worry, just let us know at a later date when you are certain. Once you have taken them round, offer them a seat and a cup of tea, and then fire away whatever question you may have. Don’t you worry about asking too many questions, we love questions. At this point, they will discuss with your our insurance cover, your moving date (known or not), our furniture protective measures, and some important elements of our terms and conditions.
Our rep will work with you from the initial home survey to the completion of your move, taking care of every aspect of your requirements in order to provide a less stressful service.
During the removal, protective materials are used to protect all areas that the team expect to work in. Sofas, mattresses, and television sets are placed in padded sacks, woven polyester sacks, and boxes respectively. All furniture are covered with blankets and securely strapped against rails in the truck to prevent scratches and other damages.
Goods are removed from wherever in the house, apart from the loft which must be done by you (give us a call if you have any physical inability to do so).
We will dismantle any type of furniture and reassemble them for an additional charge.
If there is any damage to your property, we shall let you know at the end of the move.
NO TIME TO DO YOUR OWN PACKING?
Don’t worry we got you covered. Our experienced staffs will do the packing for you, and if you need them unpacking too, they will do that too, no problem.
- Ensure all your valuables are packed and out of the way before our team arrives
- Ensure that the documents of the property are removed
For health & safety, they will use appropriate box sizes to pack various items for safe handling
For maximum protection, they will wrap fragile items individually and place them in boxes using void fill. To prevent them from crumpling, they will place garments and all clothes that are on hangers in wardrobe cartons.
Every box will be labelled with its content or area of the house where it comes from.
Are you doing your own packing?
We can supply you with all the material you need to be delivered free of charge. Have a look at our price list.
After you have unpacked your belongings, we will with your permission, takeaway all the materials and recycle those that can be reused.
After you accept our quote and the terms of our contracts, you’ll be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of 15% of our price.
The deposit will be collected over the phone and the balance will be paid in cash after completion.
If you prefer to pay the balance with a card reader, let us know few days in advance. There is a fee for this method.
If you need to pay by cheque, please make sure it reaches us a week prior because it has to clear before the move date.
